Sigh.
Picking the Highlander up from the detailer today and taking it straight to the dealer. The entire radio system has decided that it should just constantly reboot itself and then shut off again. Even the backup camera. It started freaking out Monday night as we were leaving a friend’s house and it hasn’t stopped since.
I’m hoping it just needs a software update or a reflash of some sort.
I also
hope this isn’t an indication of things to come.

that was the one issue we had with our 2014 sequoia... the entune system would freeze a lot... a software update from the dealer fixed it though

The entune system is my least favorite part of my Corolla. It’s slow, ugly, and doesn’t always detect my phone properly.

Toyota is in bed with Mazda these days...

That’s a little scary, as this is now the top contender for my wife’s next car...

And this is why I love my basic CVPI.

I think it’s more Mazda is in bed with Toyota. Because Mazda would probably be defunct soon without a bigger company’s investment.

They did a hard reboot of the system and that supposedly fixed it. We’ll see. What I’ve found online is that it may be something to do with iOS 13. Ours was perfect until we updated both phones to iOS 13. Then, it started acting up.
I’m going to wait to re-pair the phones and see if it starts rebooting once they’re paired.
Honestly, it’s a wonderful vehicle and I don’t mind the Entune system at all, until this issue started. I don’t mind not having Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, either.
